Some of the wildlife encountered on trip with my parents. We had some encounters of the closest kind such as a collision with a kangaroo, which I hope never to have again. Apart from that the wildlife in Australia is so beautiful and definitely worth a closer look!

My New Baby!!!

Introducing my lovely Nissan Tiida which has been such a huge blessing from God. It is amazing how much it has changed my life. It will be so easy to get around when my family visit on holidays as well as make my everyday life a lot smoother! The endless walking to stations, waiting on trains, travelling on trains and walking at the other end was getting so tedious and tiring. Now I can go places where before I would have had 2nd thoughts because of the time and effort it took to get there.

Autumn Leaves

AUTUMN IN BRIGHT
I went down to Bright in Victoria last weekend to my friend Faye's. She had organised a healing retreat in Harrietville further up in the mountains from where she lives. She had asked me to co-lead the retreat with her, to lead worship and do some of the teaching. It was an amazing weekend during God did a lot of deep work in the lives of those there- God is just so amazing!
As you can see I also got the opportunity to take in some of the beautiful autumn foliage as well which was really pretty.

Day in National park and Kiama

The beautiful south coast of NSW. It is full of beautiful cliff lines, beaches, national parks, small villages and towns. I decided to check it out on my first day out in my car. The blow hole at the beautiful town of Kiama is above- it can take a while to wait for a good spout of water.
I also drove through the National Park and had to stop and snap this beautiful cliff line.

2007 Hillsong Album Recording- a night to remember

'Colour Your World' women's conference

March 15th-17th: over 17,000

women packed the Acer Arena.

It was an amazing conference from

the fantastic opening all the way

to the spectacular finale. It was a mixture of the funny, the deep and meaningful, the poignant
and the relaxed. From heaven breathed worship to challenging teaching from some really
annointed teachers. It was a time of Sisterhood coming together and doing something amazing
for the benifit of those less fortunate. Definitely lots of memories from those few days!!

A snapshot view of North Avoca beach

Stayed about 6 minutes away from this beautiful beach in the Central Coast whilst on Frontline Retreat.
Frontline is the 26-35 year old age grouping of Hillsong Church. Each year we have a retreat in the Central Coast. I stayed in a house with 14 girls and we had a fun time together, had a special time in God's presence, learnt lots and made new friends.

Dreaming of new memories

Dreaming, dreaming of holidays, warm sunshine, never ending beaches, water lapping the seashore, blue sky, and lovely company. No harm in dreaming! Well dreams hopefully turning to reality in may and september this year with visits from some of my family. Hoping to explore some new corners of this vast country and make some new memories!

Beautiful day

It's a beautiful day here in Sydney. Was at the lovely Coogee Beach with my friend Gen. Sun shining on the water turning it to deep aqua. Whiter than white surf spraying in the wind as the waves roll unto the near white sand- very idyllic. We had lunch in a cafe- sitting outside, chatting, watching the world go by.
Hours before, we had been at Hillsong women, catching a glimpse at a very different world, the world of the child soldiers of northern Uganda. The documentry called 'Invisible Children' told of the harrowing civil war and it's devastating impact on the people who live there in particular the children. Every woman there, weeping as we were faced with a world far removed from our own, and left wondering what part we can play to help the situation, praying that the situation would end and that the people there would come to know true freedom. Now that would be a truly beautiful day!

Australia Day- 26/1/2007

Ok, I know this post is a bit long after Australia day, but it's the first opportuity I've had to post it. It was a gloriously hot summer day. The main celebrations were held at Cockle Bay Wharf, Darling Harbour. Thousands of people packed the harbour sides. The festivities started with boat parades, a celebration of 100 years of surf life savers and ended in a spectacular fireworks display. There was a floating stage in the middle of the water and musical entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening.

Yet another wedding- as you can see the sun is actually shining at this one!!

This was a more traditional wedding, held in the Anglican church at the seaside suburb of Cronulla. Afterwards we enjoyed a catered afternoon tea in the church hall.

Recent Wedding

THis is a photo of me at a recent wedding, held at the Rotunda at beautiful Balmoral Beach. Eventhough it was summer, the weather was chilly and very blowy!!

Lots of weddings in Australia are organised outside due to the high prbability of good weather! Not always to be guaranteed!

This wedding was at 9am- a bit earlier than weddings I'm used to, and was all over by lunch time!

Hello everyone, thought I would jump on the blogspot bandwagon and create one of my very own. It will give you, my family and friends a bit more of an idea of my life in Australia.

I have now been living in Sydney for 19 months which is really hard to believe at times, but it's true!! I love living here- and not just because of the weather- which is great, well not all the time but as we've been in drought here I've even found myself praying for rain- a bit of a change for an irish lass!!

I haven't travelled that much since I've been here- mainly caught up with working, but am hoping to change that this year and add a few more kilometres of this great country to my belt!
